Now, everyone in a cage for any victimless acts needs to be freed as well.

If someone is sitting in a cage, or has a "record" for drug or gun "offenses", they are a political prisoner. Just like the "J6" prisoners. All political prisoners should be free and their "records" cleared. Immediately. Unconditionally. Anyone who delays their release afterward should be treated like the criminal they are.
The agencies responsible for persecuting them, such as the ATF and DEA, should be disbanded and their illegal "duties" not be transferred to anyone else, but abolished entirely.
But, I'm not going to discount Ross being freed. One good thing is one good thing.

That's excellent news. Now if Trump would blanket pardon Snowden and Assange, I would really be happy. (You'd think he would realize that they are allies against the Deep State.)

ReplyDeleteExactly. That’s the weakness of using pardons to superficially address legal wrongs. They are primarily political acts designed to make the grantor appear magnanimous while the evil that is retrospectively corrected for a single individual continues unabated to harm others from the past and into the future. While they may be valid when applied to the unjustly convicted but actually innocent, they are far more often employed to shield the guilty and spare those from a punishment that they fully deserve to bear.
Freeing Ross is the bandaid-- getting rid of the illegal rules would be a cure.
