If everyone around you is an idiot, or is always "out to get you", that may be a hint that "they" might not be the real problem.
If "you" are a country, and you are always at war with someone somewhere for some reason, that might be a clue that the problem isn't all the other countries, but You.

Those who want you to doubt that anarchy (self-ownership and individual responsibility) is the best, most moral, and ethical way to live among others are asking you to accept that theft, aggression, superstition, and slavery are better.

No country actually exists. "Country" is an abstract.
ReplyDeleteYou exist. I exist. Lots and lots of individuals exist. And there are lots and lots of psychopaths who try to make you and I think they have some "right" to rule some or all of those individuals.
The world, however, revolves around MY belly-button -- not yours. My world.
That bit of knowledge gives me a distinct advantage. Because I know your world revolves around YOUR belly-button, whether you admit it or not. Therefore, if you and I disagree over an item or topic I know it is not because you mean me harm. It's because you see the thing from the perspective of your belly-button.
That's a real bit of freedom when you think about it.
