Recovering, but not as quickly as I'd like

I've been sick for the past two days with cold/flu symptoms. Haven't really moved out of a chair today. But I don't feel as bad now as I did last night, so I'll be back-- but maybe not before Wednesday's newspaper column.

Be strong. Exercise your liberty.

  1. Bimectin ... Great news! I don't have worms.

    1. Personally, I would probably go for the human version of any medicine, but I never got bad enough to worry about it too much.

  2. Be well soon, Kent. Had you consulted a quack you would for sure have been listed as a Covid patient and given all sorts of poisons.

Since you're getting better this advice will be too late, but I've found Cold-Eeze rather effective. Suck the tabs as soon as the symptoms are felt, and they go away either at once or sooner than expected.

23 months ago I felt a very strange cold coming on, but I did that and it vanished after 24 hours. It may well have been Covid, the mild version.

    1. I'm already feeling much better. I take zinc all the time. I would say I only had around 36 hours of feeling pretty bad.

Everyone in the house got sick at basically the same time, but I'm the only one feeling better.

One member of the household went to the doctor today and they did a strep test, a flu test, and when both of those came back negative, they gave her a Covid test. I'm sure we all have the same thing, so I'll know in a day or two if I got the Omicronian vaccine.

  4. I don't feel as good today as I did yesterday, so my reports of recovery may have been premature. I'm still in the "bad cold" range, rather than the flu range like I was Sunday night.
