The worst politician quote ever

Someone recently reminded me again of the worst thing I think I have ever heard a puppetician utter.  And he said it in public and no one shot him for advocating slavery!:

"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."

That's like claiming that life is all about the willingness to rot in your grave forever.  It shows that this turd doesn't have the first clue what "freedom" is (and I'll bet liberty is really scary to him).  It shows he sees it only according to what he can do to you.

Of course, he would consider himself and his hired goons to be "lawful authority", which they most definitely are not.

Yeah, it sounds like something that psychopath Mikey Poopie Bloomers would say, but it was actually a previous NY thug who said it.

  1. But, being a politician, maybe he was lying?

  2. He is a member of the new aristocracy. What? That can't happen here. Oh yes it can and yes it has. Remember the Justice Department really means the Just Us Department.

  3. And one other thing: "Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do." I wonder if Giuliani ever read history? It was "lawful" in this nation for people to own other people and the U.S. Supreme Court upheld that "lawful" behavior. What's that you say? Oh but that was a long time ago and we've learned our lesson. I don't think so. They were modern humans who did that vile deed. And, what do you think the war on drugs is? Just another form of slavery, upheld by the Supreme Court, slavery of mostly honest, peaceful citizens for their choice of their recreational drug. (Yes, alcohol is a true narcotic drug.)

  4. Pretty much what we came to expect from Giuliani. Right up there with "Obedience to the law is liberty," commonly attributed to Roman philosopher Boethius. If you've had the pleasure of going to court, odds are excellent you've seen that engraved on the courthouse.

  5. Interestingly, in the same NYT edition is this article. Now put Giuliani's declaration together with the other and you will plainly see the drug "war" is the bait for the creation of an abject slave state.

    Your government at work.

  6. Samuel Spade: I clicked on the link you gave and saw right away that the evil Mr. Bennett was behind a new push for expanding the federal prison system.

Well the prison-industrial complex has to keep making... er, taking the taxpayer's money to keep in business. This new plan by William Bennett, the first drug czar I think is just more of the same. (Czar is corret. It translates into dictator.)

Bennett once made a statement in an interview that he only drank whiskey for the taste and that anyone who drank it (alcohol) for the mind-altering effects was basically a drug addict.

His whole reason for existence is to violate the rights of otherwise peaceful, honest citizens. He's another person who has never read and understood the U.S. Constitution, especially the 9th and 10th Amendments. Nor does he understand the meaning of inaliendable rights.

  7. If you listen to brainless yahoos, you have to expect to be outraged; when the head is full of stupidity that's the only thing that can come out when the mouth opens!
