Stupid questions

Yes, they do exist:

"Without astrology how can we know what will happen today?
"Without government how will we be safe from dangers?"

The two questions, and the sentiments they echo, are equally stupid. Both are based on superstition.

  1. Stupidity abounds. There are times I believe it would have been considerably more comfortable a life for me had I never stumbled upon Harry Browne and the dozens upon dozens of libertarians and anarchists who have influenced me since.

    Is Zombie statism bliss?

Just yesterday for some reason I was doing some research of Richard Widmark -- can't even remember why now, except he had appeared in one of the old cowboy flicks I watched for lack of anything worthwhile on the compooter. Widmark refreshed my understanding that even back in the 30's, 40's and 50's Hollywood (shill of the state) in general and "entertainers" in particular were subtly and eerily implanting governmentalism into the numb skulls of us couch spuds -- generally out of shear stupidity. So much so, in fact, that today it is almost impossible to discover what I see as logic and reason "...out thar in radio-land..." (quoting a shout of the old-time religious evangelists). Here's Wikipedia on one of Whidmark's "more prominent statements":

Despite having spent most of his career appearing countless times in gun-toting roles such as cowboys, policemen, gangsters and military men, Widmark actually loathed real-life gunplay, and he got involved in several gun-control initiatives and drives. In 1976, he famously stated:[8]

"I know I've made kind of a half-assed career out of violence, but I abhor violence. I am an ardent supporter of gun control. It seems incredible to me that the United States are the only civilized nation that does not put some effective control on guns."

Is there anything left to say after reading this comment?

The enormity of the truth is incredible. Sam

    1. Leave acting to the actors, and thinking to those with minds.
