I was told that because America isn't a perfect libertarian paradise today, this means "libertarians do nothing to defend freedom here." (Liberty would be the better word, but whatever.)
I'm constantly amazed that people "think" this way, and yet don't forget to breathe.
"Because the human body keeps getting dirty, soap must be useless."
"Because cancer still kills people, no one is doing anything to heal people."
"Because crime still happens, self-defense is pointless."
I don't think there's anyone, advocating for anything, who could clear that guy's bar.
You can be doing all the right things, but because most people still believe in The Most Dangerous Superstition- and because politics makes people stupid- it won't have an immediate effect. It doesn't mean you're on the wrong path. Don't let stupid people discourage you.
