Choosing your target

I may be wrong, but I have noticed a pattern that seems to delineate the big difference between the political "Right" and the political "Left":
The "Left" is self-destructive, and the "Right" prefers to destroy others.
The "Left" focuses their hate inward; the "Right" focuses it outward. But it's still hate.

Of course, there's some overlap, some exceptions, and some interpretation involved, I'm just saying it looks that way in general. To me.

Often, the Left's self-destructiveness harms others (how could it not?), and often, the Right's penchant for destroying others ricochets and hurts them (again, what would anyone expect?).

Politics makes people stupid, and usually at least a little bit evil, too.

  1. Trump's winning the Republican nomination and becoming leader of the party is something of a hostile takeover. I know Trump isn't perfect, but he is keeping us out of the Russia/Ukraine War, in spite of bipartisan pressure to escalate it. He forced various allies to pay more for their own defense rather than freeloading on the American taxpayer.. He's even drawing back on support for NATO, which has caused bipartisan condemnation. Aren't these positive accomplishments from an anarchist viewpoint?

    1. I'm not anti-Trump. When he does good things I will say so. Yes, if those things are real, they are good things. But I don't trust government sources or the media very much, so I always wonder if things are as they seem. Or as we are told.
I was glad he freed Ross. Now he needs to be true to his word and end the IRS. And do the various other things he said he'd do that I would agree with. He also needs to stop putting known Swamp Monsters into positions of power- I thought he might have learned his lesson the first time, but I guess not.
Government is never legitimate, even if it's doing the right thing in some ways. This doesn't negate the right things it does, nor do the right things cancel out the evil it does.
