The reality of government is so different from the lie Lincoln told.
In reality, what exists is Government of the evil, by the idiots, for the cowards.
And that's the best form of government, according to many. Sounds like a superstition to me.

I am an old man. I believe I have spent my life with my eyes open and connected to a reasoning and sapient brain. I have also been a student of history since my early adulthood. Both my personal observations and the lessons I have drawn from studying the past paint a very different picture of the origin and purpose of government than that promulgated by the establishment entities of society. I am told that these collectives were established by the individuals of society to protect their property, rights and liberties and ensure that justice was attained from bad elements and wrong doers. The reality I personally see and have universally learned from history, is that such governing and ruling entities were instead coercively and violently imposed on people from the earliest inception and have been maintained to the present by continued use of force and threat. That in plain fact these entities are the primary danger and menace to the things they were supposedly authorized to defend and typically and routinely are the main violators of the natural rights of the individual and the overwhelmingly worst plunderers of their property. In addition, they are in the present day the principal danger to, not only the individual lives of the public, but increasingly to the continued existence of the entire human species.

– Herbert Spencer
“Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners.”
--- Edward Abbey
