Another question- Time's Up items

Now that I have Time's Up patches offered for sale, are there any other items you might be interested in? Other than flags.

Some of the items I have considered include bumper stickers, key rings, lighters, pens, calendars, yard signs, "do rags", rubber stamps, and Christmas ornaments.

I'm open to suggestions if you think of anything else people might like.

  1. I'd frankly like to see you do something to earn a living like most of us do, Kent. I'm a bit embarrassed for you and your tin-cup rattling!

    1. That is good to know. And I certainly can't disagree. I think this comment belongs on the other post, so I may copy it (or link to it) over there.
Selling things isn't rattling my tin cup, though- it is my attempt to earn a living. And, lots of people earn a living by writing, too. If you don't think I deserve to be paid for my writing, by all means, don't pay me. I have never wanted anyone to feel "obligated" to pay me.
But, I will seriously re-assess how I am doing things here, and I'll probably hesitate to post "blegs" from now on if they are distracting from the rest of the blog. I certainly don't want that.

  2. I think the only way to make money online is to sell advertising.

    1. I have advertised with paid posts a couple of times- but it has been years. I have turned down ads because they told me I couldn't say "this is a paid endorsement". I looked into letting Google "monetize" the blog, but decided it wasn't worth the frustration I believe it would cause the readers. So, I'm not really expecting to make money like working at Walmart would bring in.

  3. I don't buy trinkets, I haven't been able to give a donation, but embarrassed for Kent? the notion makes me laugh. at least this man lives a life he believes in. most of us earning a living are living a bit hypocritically. I may not agree 100% with all his ideals, but i'm more inclined to say 'proud to know you' keep writing for liberty Kent, and spread the concepts by any means available. even if I disagree I am glad when you get me or anyone else to think. and now that I do think about it, a bumper sticker would be a way I would be willing to stimulate others minds too.

    1. I'm actually grateful to Anonymous (the one embarrassed for me) for commenting. The bleg posts really bother me, too. So, I will think really carefully before posting another one. Maybe I just need to live with the fact that if donations don't come in I do need to explore other options.

My life is a work in progress and I've never claimed I'm "there" yet. I just try to make sure I am moving in the direction I want to go, rather than the other way.

I do know that this blog has damaged my prospects for a "normal" job somewhat- and that doesn't usually bother me very much. And I'll never delete this blog to try to appease potential employers. Life is what it is, and I accept the consequences of the choices I've made.

And, I'll look into making up some bumper stickers in the near future.
