Slavism

The opposite of libertarianism isn't just statism.  It isn't just authoritarianism.  Those are just aspects of slavism: the love of being a slave, or the imposition of slavery on others.

I am exposed to people suffering from slavism everywhere.

They worship imaginary "authorities", and demand that everyone else do the same- or be punished.  While some of them don't see their own chains, they enthusiastically want to make sure everyone else's chains are secure.  They use "laws" and delusions to enslave.

Until people get over the notion that some people should be "in control" of other people, and stop "respecting the office" OR "the person", slavism will be "normal".

  1. There's also the mind-set that, because it was legislated, it's somehow "moral". That any action by govt is excused because of "democracy".

What a perfect scam that has been foisted upon humanity, slavery by invisible chains, servitude through tacit consent.

  2. 95% (perhaps more -- maybe less) of individuals get their learnin' from government propaganda factories ("public" ha ha schools). No matter the level of intelligence, by the time the kid graduates s/he believes monopoly government must "regulate" a free market to prevent monopolies.

No economist will tell them the fact that monopolies can only exist due to monopoly government intervention. The free market (if one were allowed by the authoritarian state parasites to emerge) would automatically short circuit monopolies.

Gary North had an essay describing this phenomenon.

  4. Gary North had a good essay outlining how intellectuals manage to encourage what you refer to as "slavism" as an ongoing mantra.

95% (perhaps more, possibly less) of kids are educated in government propaganda factories ("public" ha ha schools). When they come out they are convinced to a man that monopoly government regulators are a necessary encroachment into the marketplace to prevent monopolies.

    ...That "monopolies" are evil...

No "economist" in college classrooms will ever tell them the simple fact that monopolies can only come about through parasites called "government" -- the greatest and most egregious monopoly of all. That all licensing and virtually all laws and regulations pertaining to the free marketplace are simply barriers to entry. These kids will never see a truly free marketplace, and thus will never grasp that freedom automatically short circuits monopolies.

Thus what you're properly calling "Slavism".

The enormity of the truth is incredible.
