It's not me, it's you.

If everyone around you is an idiot, or is always "out to get you", that may be a hint that "they" might not be the real problem.

If "you" are a country, and you are always at war with someone somewhere for some reason, that might be a clue that the problem isn't all the other countries, but You.

  1. No country actually exists. "Country" is an abstract.

    You exist. I exist. Lots and lots of individuals exist. And there are lots and lots of psychopaths who try to make you and I think they have some "right" to rule some or all of those individuals.

    The world, however, revolves around MY belly-button -- not yours. My world.

    That bit of knowledge gives me a distinct advantage. Because I know your world revolves around YOUR belly-button, whether you admit it or not. Therefore, if you and I disagree over an item or topic I know it is not because you mean me harm. It's because you see the thing from the perspective of your belly-button.

    That's a real bit of freedom when you think about it.
