As of 1:45 PM, central time, I became a grandfather. My older daughter gave birth to a healthy boy who weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 19 inches long. Is my younger daughter, at the age of 2 3/4, ready for someone to call me "Granddad"? Am I ready?
Wow, congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and look at it this way: Your youngest will have a couple, few years before she actually starts hearing Granddad or whatever title you get.(Grampa, Grandpa, Grampy, Poppop) Plenty of time to formulate a plan to get her ready.
ReplyDeleteAs far as your being ready, I guess you don't have a choice. I was 44 when my stepdaughter had my step-granddaughter and thought being a grandpa at that age was kind of young but in the end you won't even think of it.
Congratulations!
